"Send to X4" (hereinafter "the App") is an independent, community-developed utility created by Chapiware.
This App is NOT affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with
Xteink,
or any of its subsidiaries or its affiliates. The official Xteink website can be found at their respective
domain.
The names "Xteink" and "X4" as well as related names, marks, emblems and images are registered trademarks of
their respective owners.
The App acts solely as a local utility to format web content and transfer files to your device over your local
network.
1. Information We Collect
The App is designed with a "Privacy-First" architecture. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data
on external servers.
- Local Processing: All URL processing and article extraction happen locally on your device
or via direct connection to your X4 e-reader.
- No Cloud Storage: Extracted articles and EPUB files are stored temporarily on your device
for transfer and are not uploaded to any Chapiware cloud service.
2. How the App Uses Data
- URLs: The URLs you share with the App are used strictly to fetch and format the content you
requested.
- File Transfer: Generated files are sent directly from your mobile device to your X4
e-reader over your local Wi-Fi connection.
3. Third-Party Services
The App does not utilize third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs. Your usage habits remain
private.
4. Limitation of Liability & User Responsibility
By using this App, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Content Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the URLs and content you process
using the App. You agree not to use the App to infringe upon any intellectual property rights,
copyrights, or terms of service of third-party websites.
- "As-Is" Software: The App is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or
implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular
purpose and noninfringement.
- No Liability: In no event shall the authors or copyright holders (Chapiware) be liable
for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort or otherwise, arising
from, out of or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software.
- Service Terms: You are responsible for complying with the Terms of Service of any
platform (e.g., social media, news sites) from which you extract content.
